Hygiene Processing Flow: Our 4-Step Standard

Hand sorting premium Catappa leaves

When you buy a pack of leaves from Aloka Cipta Mandiri, you aren't just buying dead foliage. You are buying peace of mind. We treat our leaves not as waste, but as a premium product.

A common question we get from international buyers is: "How do you ensure cleanliness?" Here is our rigorous 4-step hygiene protocol.

01. Selection

Quality starts at the source. We do not strip trees bare. Instead, we wait for nature to do the work.

Our Criteria:

We only collect ripe, red/brown leaves that have fallen naturally. These leaves have fully developed their tannin content. Green leaves are strictly rejected as they lack the beneficial properties aquarists need.

02. Washing

Roadside leaves are often covered in invisible pollutants. Our leaves undergo a thorough manual washing process.

We gently scrub every leaf to remove:

  • Physical dust and dirt.
  • Insect eggs and larvae.
  • Pollutants and bird droppings.

03. Sun Drying

After washing, moisture is the enemy. We lay the leaves on raised bamboo racks to dry under the intense Indonesian tropical sun.

This step is crucial to lock in the tannins. Proper sun drying ensures the leaf becomes crisp and shelf-stable, preventing mold growth during shipping to your country.

04. Quality Check

Before any product leaves our facility, it goes through a final inspection.

  • Grading: We separate Grade A (Perfect) from Grade B and Broken leaves.
  • Vacuum Sealing: Approved leaves are immediately vacuum sealed or packed tightly. This preserves the crispness and ensures that when you open the pack, it smells fresh like tea, not musty like old damp wood.

This consistent standard is why our leaves are trusted by wholesalers and hobbyists worldwide.
